“You Can’t Go Unpunished” - Simon Jordan Slams Bruno Fernandes For Pushing Linesman

Former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan has told the English Football Association, FA, to hand Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes punishment for pushing a linesman during the Red Devil’s humiliating 7-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

Fernandes, who captained the Red Devils for the game, put up one of his poorest performances on Sunday afternoon.

But the Portuguese managed to remain on the field despite committing some offenses that could have seen him sent off.

One huge flashpoint was when the 28-year-old appeared to have pushed the linesman Adam Nunn in the second half while his team was 5-0.

Jordan thinks retrospective punishment is required for the Portugal international.

“There’s an example that needs to be set at the top of the game right through to the grassroots…” he told talkSPORT.

“The captain of arguably the biggest club in English football, not in achievement terms but in terms of reputation and reputation, should not go unpunished for this.

“There should be consequences because it is not right.

“You do not raise your hands, in any shape or form, to an official.”
