Ex Banker Jailed For 6 Years And Asked To Return N11 Million He Stole From Bank Vaults


An ex-Banker has been jailed for six years and asked to return the N11 million he stole from the bank vaults. The banker, Sunday Fadayomi, who was a former staff of Ayete Microfinance Bank Limited in Oyo state was on Friay November 29, 2019 sentenced to six years in prison without an option of fine.
He was arraigned by the EFCC for stealing a total of sum of N11,000,000 (Eleven Million Naira) from the bank’s vault while he was still a staff with the bank. The ruling was made in Oyo state High court by the residing Justice Mohammed Owolabi who pronounced him guilty of the 30 counts criminal charges filed against him by the EFCC.
Fadayomi was the information system expert in charge of the bank’s information technology section for about 10 years before he was caught.
