Court Bars INEC From Recognizing Outcome Of PDP National Convention

  The  Federal High Court in Abuja has restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), from recognizing the outcome of the forthcoming 2025 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Justice James Omotosho issued the order on Friday while delivering judgment in a suit challenging the legality of the convention. The judge predicated the decision on the grounds that the PDP failed to comply with relevant conditions and laws for the conduct of such convention. The  judge held that evidence provided by the electoral umpire and some of the respondents showed that congresses were not held in some states of the federation in breach of the law. In addition, the court held that the signing of notices and correspondence of the PDP by its National Chairman without the National Secretary violated the law and consequently made such notices and correspondences a nullity. Diddy Officially Moved To New Jersey Prison

  American music mogul,  Sean “Diddy” Combs has been moved to prison. The singer is now officially serving his federal prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. He is expected to spend the next two and a half years at the prison. According to law enforcement sources, the music mogul was transferred to the low-security federal correctional institution early Thursday morning and began the check-in process shortly after arrival. This move follows Judge Arun Subramanian’s sentencing of Diddy to 50 months in prison, with the Federal Bureau of Prisons approving his request to serve time at Fort Dix.   Diddy’s legal team said the facility was chosen because it would allow him to address drug abuse issues, maximize family visitation, and focus on rehabilitation during his sentence.   The rapper and entrepreneur had been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn since September 2024, following his arrest and denial of bail pending trial. 44-Year-Old Man Arrested For Disguising As A Woman To Record Women Inside Gym Bathrooms

A 44-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, after disguising himself as a woman to secretly record women in gym bathrooms. Officials with the Montgomery County Police Department said they first received a report about Tshikundi Taty on October 10, 2025 after a woman at One Life Fitness Club in the 20500 block of Seneca Meadows Parkway in Germantown, told officers that someone had entered the women's locker room’s and recorded her in the shower. Police said they later determined that Taty would dress as a woman to enter locker rooms, then remove his disguise and leave the area after filming. On Wednesday, officers followed Taty to a Planet Fitness in White Oak, where he was found inside the women’s locker room -- again disguised as a woman Authorities said he was quickly taken into custody and taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.

Nnamdi Kanu Files Fresh Motion, Asks Court To Strike Out All Charges

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has filed a new motion before the Federal High Court in Abuja, requesting the dismissal of all charges against him and his immediate release. In the motion dated October 30, 2025, and titled “Motion on Notice and Written Address in Support,” Kanu argued that there is no valid charge against him under any existing law in Nigeria. He said the charges currently before the court are “a nullity ab initio for want of any extant legal foundation.” The IPOB leader, who is representing himself, filed the motion under Sections 1(3), 6(6)(b), and 36(12) of the 1999 Constitution, the Evidence Act 2011, and the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022. Nollywood Director Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Makeup Artiste On Set

  A Nollywood production manager and casting director, has been arrested.   Anierobi “Nwa South” Courage was arrested for allegedly assaulting Mary Eze, the head of makeup artistes, on a film set in Lagos State.   This followed a video posted on Instagram by filmmaker, Stanley Ontop on Wednesday.   The video showed Courage attacking Eze during filming on Tuesday in Lagos.   Courage could be seen pushing Eze onto a chair, beating her, tearing her clothes, and allegedly inflicting injuries on her.   In the video, Courage held Eze by the neck while striking her repeatedly and attempting to force her into the chair, as other crew members struggled to intervene and separate them.   Confirming Courage’s arrest, the Nigeria Film Crew Community (NFCC) announced on its Instagram page on Wednesday that the incident occurred on the set of Caddilly Production’s “Lagos to Opulence.”   NFCC added that he attacked Eze after she protested against unfair and discr...

  F oluke Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has shared a story how they escaped death by poisoning. According to her, a poisoned food delivered to their home on New Year’s Day killed their dog. Speaking in a recent video shared with members of the church, the 77-year-old cleric recalled how the household narrowly escaped tragedy when the suspicious meal was diverted from the family table.   According to her, the food was brought into the Adeboyes’ residence as part of the flood of New Year gifts. NDLEA Files Forfeiture Case Against Pretty Mike’s Club Over Drug Party

  The  Chairman and Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Buba Marwa (rtd.), has revealed that the agency has filed a forfeiture suit against a Lagos nightclub owned by socialite, Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike. The agency had on Sunday raided a drug party held at Proxy Night Club, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, where operatives arrested over 100 attendees, including the club owner and his manager, Joachin Milary. The NDLEA said the operation followed intelligence that the organisers had circulated flyers inviting people to what was described as a “drug party.” In an update issued on Tuesday, the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, said undercover operatives infiltrated the club, made pre-purchases of illicit drugs, and monitored activities for about four hours before storming the premises between 11 PM on Saturday, October 25 and 3 AM on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has dismissed allegations of financial misconduct related to the construction of the FIFA Goal Project in Kebbi State. Recall that the controversy followed a social media post by FIFA showing the half-completed Benin-Kebbi Stadium, which drew criticism from Nigerians questioning how funds for the project were utilized.   Nigeria’s President,  Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reduced the death sentence passed on Maryam Sanda to 12 years imprisonment. In  the final list of the presidential prerogative of mercy, Maryam, who was convicted and sentenced to death on charges of culpable homicide on January 27, 2020, had her death sentence by hanging reduced to 12 years imprisonment on compassionate grounds. The compassionate grounds considered for the pardon are her model prison behavior, embrace of new life and the well-being of her children. A  statement by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, also indicated that four Nigerians sentenced to death have their sentence reduced to life imprisonment. According to him, the name originated from a playful childhood moment that unexpectedly defined his music identity.   Embattled American rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is set to be released from prison.   A date for his release has now been made public.   The date of his release was disclosed on Monday, October 27, 2025, three weeks after he was sentenced.   According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Diddy, who is currently serving a four year jail term is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2028.   The embattled singer was sentenced to 50 months imprisonment on two counts of interstate prostitution.   He was arrested by federal agents in September 2024, in New York following a grand jury indictment.   The rapper has been detained since his arrest.

  The  gunman accused of killing Japan’s former prime minister Shinzo Abe pled guilty Tuesday, three years after the assassination in broad daylight shocked the world. The  slaying forced a reckoning in a country with little experience of gun violence, and ignited scrutiny of alleged ties between prominent conservative lawmakers and a secretive sect, the Unification Church. “Everything is true,” Tetsuya Yamagami said at a court in the western city of Nara, admitting murder of the country’s longest-serving leader in July 2022.   Nigerian  singer and Senior Special Assistant to Abia State Governor on Tourism and Entertainment, Martins Okechukwu Justice popularly known as J. Martins has been involved in an accident.   The singer miraculously escaped death after suffering brake failure.   It was gathered that his car veered off the highway and plunged into the bush.   The incident happened on Monday along Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt expressway after reportedly suffered a brake failure.   Speaking on the accident, J. Martins described the experience as terrible but thanked God that for saving him from death.   The musician added that he came out of the vehicle without injury.
