[PHOTO] Lifeless Body Of 23-Year-Old Nursing Student Found In Drainage In Calabar

The lifeless body of Elizabeth Awhobiwom Ukah, a 23-year-old student of Federal Nursing Science College, Calabar, Cross River State has been discovered in a drainage.

 
The body was found in the early hours of Saturday April 19th, 2025, along Musaha Umoh Okon Street, Ekpo Abasi area of Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, but was not immediately identified.
 
Residents alerted authorities after noticing the body, which was initially found faced down.
 
Upon arrival, men of the Nigeria Police Force turned the body face up to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

Journalist, Agba Jalingo, who identified the deceased in a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 23, said she was suspected to have been swept away by flood, while returning home after attending Good Friday mass and taking part in the stations of the Cross at Holy Family Catholic Church Big-Qua Town by Eastern Secondary School, close to Marian Market, Calabar.
 
Ukah hailed from the Ohong community in Obudu Local Government Area.
