The fifth studio album of Afrobeats star, Davido titled 5ive, has debuted at No. 1 on the UK Spotify album chart, solidifying his expanding global dominance.

Released on April 18, 2025, the album has already enjoyed massive success in Nigeria, recording the second-biggest opening week ever on Spotify in the country. Its chart-topping UK debut further underscores Davido’s rising international acclaim.

A standout from the project, Offa Me, features American R&B powerhouse and three-time Grammy awards winner Victoria Monét. The track has resonated strongly with fans, blending Davido’s vibrant Afrobeats style with Monét’s smooth, sultry delivery.

A visually striking music video, released shortly after the album, has helped propel the song’s popularity even further.

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.

Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone. She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off. “This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson.
