N15 MILLION BRIBE: EFCC Boss, Olukoyede Orders Probe Into Bobrisky’s Allegations Against EFCC Officers

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede on Tuesday, ordered immediate investigation of alleged bribery allegations imputed to some officers of the Commission by crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, in a viral video circulating across the country.

In the the video posted by Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky alleged that some unnamed EFCC officers collected N15 million from him, to drop money laundering charges against him.

Olukoyede has now constituted a team of investigators to look into the allegations.

The statement signed by EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, read in part: “To this end, the Commission hereby invites both Okuneye and Otse to make themselves available at its Lagos directorate to assist investigators unearth the alleged bribery.

“The EFCC wishes to assure the public that the allegations would be thoroughly investigated and the result of the findings made public accordingly.”

  A  new experimental brain implantation device, Blindsight, designed to restore vision has been awarded the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) ‘breakthrough device’ designation. A  federal lawmaker representing the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in Edo State, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt. Okojie, the husband of the Nollywood movie Star, Mercy Johnson, was reportedly attacked by armed men suspected to be political thugs at his residence in Uromi on Friday morning.   The  Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced one Courage Ikpaka to two years imprisonment for duping a United States citizen, Mrs Yvelte M. Thompson of $53,000 by impersonating Nigerian musician, Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour N’abania. Justice   Dehinde Dipeolu convicted Ikpaka on Tuesday following his guilty plea to a two-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Nigerian Nurse Who Left Her Infant To Die While On Duty Caught At Airport Trying To Flee UK, Jailed For Three Years

  A Nigerian nurse, identified as Ruth Auta has been sentenced to three years in jail for causing the death of her ten-week-old baby. The nurse was sentenced by Bolton Crown Court in the UK. It was gathered that the Nigerian woman left the deceased baby Joshua Akerele in her nurse's accommodation for eight hours so she could work her shift on December 20, 2022. The nurse was said to be a single mother, aged 28. When she returned to her room, she found Joshua lifeless in his cot and dialled 999, telling operators her son was not breathing.
