“Yahoo Boy Who Confined Lady In Abuja Hotel For Money Ritual Arrested” – Police

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that an alleged internet fraudster, who confined a young lady for money rituals in Abuja, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said in a statement on Thursday night that the police are currently awaiting the NSCDC to hand over the suspect to the command.

It was gathered that a video clip capturing a young lady confined in a room with her legs tied emerged on social media on Thursday.

She was allegedly confined by her boyfriend at the Top View Hotel, Wuse, Abuja, for a money ritual.

According to the PPRO, “Findings revealed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken the suspect into custody and are yet to hand over to the police for diligent investigation.

“The FCT Police Command, for all intents and purposes, awaits the NSCDC to hand over all parties for the commencement of diligent and discreet investigation.

“Further developments will be communicated in due course.”

A  federal lawmaker representing the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in Edo State, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt. Okojie, the husband of the Nollywood movie Star, Mercy Johnson, was reportedly attacked by armed men suspected to be political thugs at his residence in Uromi on Friday morning.   The  Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced one Courage Ikpaka to two years imprisonment for duping a United States citizen, Mrs Yvelte M. Thompson of $53,000 by impersonating Nigerian musician, Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour N’abania. Justice   Dehinde Dipeolu convicted Ikpaka on Tuesday following his guilty plea to a two-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).   A Nigerian nurse, identified as Ruth Auta has been sentenced to three years in jail for causing the death of her ten-week-old baby. The nurse was sentenced by Bolton Crown Court in the UK. It was gathered that the Nigerian woman left the deceased baby Joshua Akerele in her nurse's accommodation for eight hours so she could work her shift on December 20, 2022. The nurse was said to be a single mother, aged 28. When she returned to her room, she found Joshua lifeless in his cot and dialled 999, telling operators her son was not breathing.
