2023: “I’m Not Loyal To Peter Obi” - Aisha Yesufu

Popular Nigerian social activist, Aisha Yesufu, has insisted she is not loyal to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.

Yesufu in a tweet on Thursday night, said that her loyalty was to Nigeria and she was ready to criticize Obi.

However, she also made it clear she would work for the former Anambra State Governor to win the 2023 presidential election.

“Just so we are clear, my number one job is to criticize Peter Obi’s @PeterObi every move that needs to be criticized.

“The second is to support him to win the election, noting that she only needed someone that could make Nigeria work.

“My loyalty is to Nigeria, not Peter Obi. I just need someone that can work for Nigeria. Don’t get it mixed up!” Yesufu tweeted.

The United States House Of Representatives Votes To Suspend 100% Aid To Nigeria Over Alleged Christian Persecution

  The Uni ted States House of Representatives has approved an amendment seeking to withhold 100 per cent of the U.S. assistance to Nigeria until the country takes stronger measures to address violence and alleged persecution of Christians. The amendment, sponsored by the U.S. Congressman Gregory Steube, was adopted through a voice vote on Wednesday and attached to the fiscal year 2027 State Department spending bill, which was later passed by the House by 217-209 votes, largely along party lines.
