Aubameyang Spotted At Barcelona Airport As Transfer To Chelsea Nears

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been pictured at Barcelona airport with his move to Chelsea understood to be edging closer.

The forward left Arsenal to join Barca in January, however, his time at the Camp Nou is set to come to an end.

Spanish journalist Gerard Romero shared a picture of Aubameyang in the car park of the airport on Thursday.

Aubameyang later shared a video of himself in a car with the Arc de Triomphe in Paris in the background.

It’s believed the 33-year-old is in Paris to deal with a family matter but it shouldn’t prevent him joining the Blues before the September 1 deadline.

Chelsea submitted an offer of £15million for Aubameyang, who would reunite with former coach at Borussia Dortmund Thomas Tuchel, with Blues defender Marcos Alonso set to head the other way.

Aubameyang has 13 goals in 24 appearances for Barca, however, the arrival of Robert Lewandowski threw his future at the club into doubt.

The Gabon international scored a stunning volley during Barca’s 3-3 draw against Manchester City in a friendly at the Camp Nou.

This could well be his farewell appearance for them with Barcelona’s next match seeing them take on Valladolid on Sunday.

His transfer would also allow the Spanish club to register summer signing Jules Kounde, who turned down a transfer to Chelsea.
