OSUN ELECTION: See Results As Adeleke In Early Lead, Clears 17 Local Governments

Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won 17 of the 30 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the ongoing governorship election in Osun State.

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola who is the incumbent governor of the state and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, however, won in the remaining 13 LGAs.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is currently collating the results of the governorship election conducted yesterday.

The collation exercise commenced in the early hours of Sunday at the INEC office in Osogbo, the state capital.

According to vote counts, Adeleke won with massive gaps in local governments where he emerged winner,

The United States House Of Representatives Votes To Suspend 100% Aid To Nigeria Over Alleged Christian Persecution

  The Uni ted States House of Representatives has approved an amendment seeking to withhold 100 per cent of the U.S. assistance to Nigeria until the country takes stronger measures to address violence and alleged persecution of Christians. The amendment, sponsored by the U.S. Congressman Gregory Steube, was adopted through a voice vote on Wednesday and attached to the fiscal year 2027 State Department spending bill, which was later passed by the House by 217-209 votes, largely along party lines.
