“APC Senators Are With Us In Move To Impeach Buhari” - Senator Abaribe

The lawmaker representing Abia South Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe has said that most of the Senators of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are in support of the move to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the lawmaker, most of the Senators are fed up with the administration of President Buhari and they were now prepared to force him out of office.

Abaribe told some newsmen that the lawmakers, elected to represent Nigerians, can no longer sit and watch while President Buhari crashes Nigeria.

It was gathered that Senators across party lines, led by the Minority Leader, Philip Tanimu Aduda on Wednesday stormed out of the chamber chanting “All we are saying, Buhari must go”, “Nigeria must survive”, “Ahmad Lawan should follow”, etc.

Abaribe said, “…It’s not true to say that we don’t have the numbers [to impeach Buhari]. Most of the APC Senators are with us.

“And at the point, when this starts, that’s when Nigerians will know that almost every Senator is fed up and can no longer continue to see a situation that looks like what happened in Rome.

“This is exactly what’s going on today. [The question is], do we wait until this administration crashes the nation or do we take action to prevent it.”

  Anambra native doctor, Chidozie Nwangwu, popularly known as Akwa Okoku Tiwara Aki n’Oba has been arraigned on five charges bordering on ritual practices, robbery conspiracy, and aiding internet fraudsters, commonly known as Yahoo boys. Nwangwu was arrested on Sunday, February 16, and his charges were officially presented at the Anambra State High Court on Tuesday, February 25, in a ruling delivered by Justice Onochie M.
