Veteran US Rapper, DMX Scheduled For Critical Brain Function Tests This Week As He Remains In Life Support

Veteran US Rapper, DMX is scheduled for critical brain function tests that could determine his outcome after he was hospitalised following a drug overdose. 

 

The 50-year-old who is still on life support at the White Plains Hospital in New York will undergo the tests later today, April 7. 

 

His manager, Steve Rifkind confirmed the new development to TMZ, saying X is still in a coma and his condition has not materially changed. He also said that doctors will perform a battery of tests to determine the level of brain function. 

 

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was hospitalized last Friday after suffering a drug overdose that triggered a heart attack and is facing serious health issues. 

 

Doctors have cautioned he may not make it as he has "some brain activity" and is in a "vegetative state."

Ibom Air Bans Passenger For Life After Violent Assault On Crew And Security At Lagos Airport

Nigerian air carrier, Ibom Airlines Limited has banned a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson, from flying with its airline after she was found assaulting one of the crew members of their aircraft. Emmanson had in a viral video repeatedly slapped a Purser with Ibom Aircraft after she was allegedly told to switch off her phone before take-off. Confirming the incident in a statement on Monday, Ibom Air said the incident happened on Sunday while Emmanson was on board their Uyo to Lagos flight. The statement read, “Shortly before take-off from Uyo, Ms. Emmanson was instructed in line with standard aviation safety procedures to switch off her mobile phone. She bluntly refused to comply until the Pilot-in-Command made an announcement, after which a fellow passenger seated beside her took the phone and switched it off. “This action prompted a verbal tirade from Ms. Emmanson.
