FAKE NEWS: "Imo State House Of Assembly Not On Fire" - Police

The Imo state police command has debunked report of the state house of assembly being set on fire.

A video of an alleged fire at the state House of Assembly had gone viral on Sunday night, April 26.

Reacting to the video, Imo police spokesperson Orlando Ikeokwu said the building on fire was not the State House of Assembly nor any building in the area.

Ikeokwu also confirmed that motorists were robbed in Orji area of Owerri, in an attack which left four persons with bullet injuries. Victims of the attack have been taken to the Federal Medical Center, Owerri for treatment.
