US Rapper Plans To Open A Church

 KANYE WEST SHARES HIS VISION FOR HIS SUNDAY SERVICES: The latest season of the hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians has made its debut. In the show, Kanye West has shared his vision for his “Sunday Services.”

West’s wife Kim Kardashian West has described West’s Sunday Services meetings as a “spiritual Christian experience.” The events currently happen every Sunday and without preaching. However, they do include gospel music. Kanye West was heard telling Kourtney Kardashian that they were going to start laying it out in such a way so that people know the songs, they’re going to have the words and have people bring their Bibles. West said that he was toying with the idea of making a church for a while. In 2019, he then resolved not to let another Sunday go by without it happening.

 Kim Kardashian West elaborated on her husband’s church dream by saying that Kanye has wanted to start a church for the last few years. He started it for his family and close friends. She went on to share that Kanye’s church is about “the music and healing.” There’s even a gospel choir which makes the whole thing magical. The meeting began in a “James Turell inspired” circular dome. However, attendance increased quickly, which resulted in the service being forced to move outdoors. Kardashian West clarified that the intention was for it to be a smaller experience. However, after posting pictures online, people responded quite well to them. This has resulted in Kanye continuing it, and hopefully, it will grow and become a great experience. When asked about the possibility of a pastor in Sunday Services, Kardashian West said not at this time. She said that they were going to take time to grow it and keep making it better. Earlier this year, the Kardashian sisters were on Jimmy Kimmel Live. They spilled the beans about what happens at these Sunday Services events.

 They said that “there’s no praying, sermon or word. It’s just music.” However, many clips that Kardashian has shared online has involved prayer. Kourtney Kardashian said that it’s Christian. She later said that they perform West’s hit song Jesus Walks and added that there is a choir and gospel music. When asked if Kanye’s faith inspired the Sunday Services, Kardashian West replied by saying that Jesus is something her husband believes in and there is a Christian vibe. However, there isn’t any preaching, and it’s a Christian spiritual experience.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has confirmed his upcoming wedding to his partner, Chioma Rowland. According to reports on Tuesday Chioma and Davido’s traditional wedding is reportedly scheduled to take place in Lagos on June 25, 2024.   Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested fourteen suspected vote-buyers and intercepted N11m cash in the off-cycle governorship elections.  “ Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 14 (Fourteen) suspected vote buyers in Otueke, Adawari playgrounds in Bayelsa State and at various polling units in Imo and Kogi States,” the anti-corruption agency said in a late Saturday statement. “ They were arrested on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in intelligence-driven operations that commenced several days before the ongoing governorship elections in the three states.” It  also intercepted N11m cash in Bayelsa and Imo states. “Also, a total sum of N11,040,000 (Eleven Million, Forty Thousand Naira only) comprising N9,310,000 (Nine Million, Three Hundred and Ten Thousand Naira) intercepted from suspected vote buyers and sellers in Bayelsa and N1,730,000 (One Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty Thousand Naira) intercepted fro

Immigration Officer Bags 7-Year Jail Term Over Passport Fraud

  The  Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), has secured the conviction of Quadri Ismail Adeyinka, a staff of the Nigeria Immigration Service for committing travel passport fraud. ICPC  arraigned the convict before Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Apo, Abuja, on a four-count charge bordering on gratification, conferment of corrupt advantage and cheating contrary to extant provisions of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000 and the Penal Code Act. Counsel to ICPC, Dr Osuobeni Ekoi Akponimisingha, in the course of the trial, led evidence before the court on how Adeyinka defrauded Ovie Justice Ojeffia under the pretence of regularising the latter’s international passport. Adeyinka,  after receiving the sum of N100,000 from Ojeffia to regularise the said passport, reneged on their agreement. Veteran Nollywood Actress, Stella Ikwuegbu Is Dead

Nollywood has been plunged into mourning as veteran actress Stella Ikwuegbu passed away on Sunday.  A cloud of sorrow has therefore enveloped the Nigerian film industry as fellow actors, filmmakers, and fans grapple with the devastating news and reflect on Ikwuegbu’s immense contributions to Nollywood over the years. Movie producer Stanley Nwoko, also known as Stanley Ontop, announced on his Instagram page that the veteran actress has passed away.  According to his post, she died on Sunday, June 16, 2024.  He said, “Popular Nollywood actress/veteran Mrs stella ikwuegbu is dead. “The veteran Actress left this world today after battling with Leg cancer.
