Peller Apologizes To Christians After Calling Himself Jesus Christ During Livestream

Nigerian content creator and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has apologized to Christians following backlash over a livestream in which he dressed in white and asked viewers to call him Jesus Christ.

The incident sparked controversy after one of his guests cautioned him against making statements that could be considered disrespectful to religious beliefs.

Reacting to the criticism, Peller said he had no intention of offending Christians or mocking their faith.

He explained that he only wore the white outfit without realising that his appearance and remarks would provoke such a reaction.

The content creator appealed to Christians for forgiveness, describing himself as a Christian who attends the Christ Apostolic Church.

He also made a reference to Islam while addressing the controversy, although further details of his comments were not immediately available.

Peller’s apology followed criticism from social media users who expressed concerns about the use of religious figures and symbols for entertainment during livestreams.
