Francis Duru’s Family Announces Funeral Arrangements

The family of the late veteran Nollywood actor, Francis Duru has announced plans for his burial, with funeral activities scheduled to take place in Abuja and his hometown in Imo State.

The arrangements were disclosed in a statement published on the actor’s official Instagram page on Monday and jointly signed by his sister, Anthonia Chenyi, and his first son, Ebuka Duru.

According to the family, a service of songs will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at Family Worship Centre, Idris Gidado Street, Wuye, Abuja, beginning at 5 PM.

The statement also announced that a second service of songs would take place on Thursday, December 10, at the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru’s family compound in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.

The burial and interment will follow on Friday, December 11, 2026, at the same location.

“Service of songs in Abuja on Wednesday, 25th November 2026 by 5:00 PM at Family Worship Center, Idris Gidado Street, Wuye.

“Service of songs in Imo State on Thursday, 10th December 2026 at the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru’s Family Compound, Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano. Followed by funeral and interment on Friday.

It was gathered that the late actor died on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the age of 57 after his battle with an undisclosed illness.
