Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has announced the death of his mother.

Nwabali announced the unfortunate incident on social media on Wednesday.

“A very very crazy world indeed; RIP mom, worst year of my life already,” the 28-year-old wrote on X.

Recall the Chippa United shot-stopper lost his father on November 15, 2024.

Nwabali was excused from Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Rwanda because of the sad incident.

Man Planning To Propose On New Year's Eve Dies In Christmas Day House Fire While Searching For The Ring

An American man has tragically lost his life in a house fire on Christmas Day while searching for the engagement ring which he planned to use to propose to his girlfriend on New Year's Eve. According to FOX affiliate KTVU, Oakland fire crews were alerted to the blaze in the 3500 block of Oak Knoll Boulevard around 6:15 a.m. local time on Wednesday, December 25. Firefighters who were searching the home eventually found the man unconscious inside. The victim has been identified by relatives as 37-year-old Steven Weatherford Jr., according to KTVU and FOX affiliate KGO. Weatherford was reportedly looking for an engagement ring when he was apparently overcome by the smoke and fire. Family said he was planning on using the ring to propose to his girlfriend on New Year’s Eve. IBADAN STAMPEDE: “35 Dead Bodies Recovered, Six In Critical Condition” – Police

  The Oyo State Police Command have revealed the number of dead that have been recovered in the deadly Ibadan stampede.   The police said no fewer than 35 bodies of minors, who were killed in the Ibadan stampede have been recovered.   The Police Public Relations Officer of the state, SP Osifeso Adewale, who confirmed this in a statement on Thursday, said about six minors who sustained severe injuries during the incident, are in critical condition. “So far (35) thirty-five minors have been documented dead while (6) six others are critically injured and on various medical interventions,”  he said.   Recall that a funfair organized by the former Queen of the Ooni of Ife, Prophetess Naomi Shikemi at the Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, had resulted in stampede, leading to the tragic incident.   The Oyo State Police Command said that eight persons involved in sponsoring the event had since been arrested.   The Police spokesman said those arrested incl...

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake hit California on Friday morning, further compounding the state's ongoing struggles with devastating wildfires. The tremor was detected near the San Francisco Bay Area at 7:02am PT, with its epicentre approximately five miles southwest of the Golden Gate Bridge and two miles west of the Great Highway, Mail Online reports. The quake was followed by a 2.2 magnitude aftershock four minutes later, and a 2.5 magnitude tremor six minutes after the initial hit. The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that more than 5,000 people in the area felt the shake, and the number of reports continues to grow. This seismic activity occurred about 350 miles away from the Los Angeles area, where wildfires have caused widespread destruction. Controversial fast-rising Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, survived a car accident shortly after apologizing to the organisers of the Headies Awards for making death threats against the artistes nominated alongside him in two categories— Best Street-Hop Artiste and Rookie of the Year. The singer took to Instagram to post a video showing the damaged car. He said, “I am just in search of what to eat, may God not allow me meet what will eat me.
