U.S City Of Houston Declares July 7 As Davido Day



In recognition of the achievements of Nigerian afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, the City of Houston in the United States has designated July 7 as “Davido Day”

Mayor Sylvester Turner of Houston officially declared the special day in a statement released from Houston, Texas, on Friday.

The proclamation reads, “I, Sylvester Turner, Mayor of the city of Houston, do hereby proclaim July 7, 2023, as Davido Day.”

The mayor said the honour bestowed upon Davido by the city of Houston highlights his significant contributions to the music industry, both in Nigeria and internationally.
