Bayern Munich Pick Liverpool’s Sadio Mane As Lewandowski’s Replacement
German Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich have identified Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, as the replacement for departing Robert Lewandowski.
The Germans have shown interest in signing the Senegalese as a replacement for Lewandowski.
The 30-year-old Africa Cup of Nations winner is out of contract in June 2023 and Liverpool have been unable to convince him to sign a new deal despite the club’s best efforts.
Lewandowski has told Bayern Munich his intention to leave and is heading to Barcelona and the Bundesliga giants are now looking for a new striker this summer. And, according to Bild, Mane has emerged as a top target for the Bundesliga side.
Since joining Jurgen Klopp’s side from Southampton in 2016, the Senegalese has emerged as one of Europe’s top forwards.
In 267 appearances for the Merseyside giants, he has scored 119 goals.
