  The red card given to Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr during the 1-0 defeat to Valentia on Sunday has been rescinded. La Liga also slammed Valencia with a partial stadium ban following the racist abuse directed at the Real Madrid star during the game. Vinicius was targeted with vile chants and gestures by home fans at the Mestalla and the 22-year-old attempted to draw the referee’s attention to the crowd and was later red-carded in the 97th minute of action following a heated argument with Valencia striker Hugo Duro. The Spanish FA [RFEF] announced on Tuesday that the red card has been rescinded. The Mestalla’s Mario Kempes Stand will also be closed for five matches.   Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has been released on bail from detention having met his bail conditions. Lawyers representing the musician earlier in the day said he might be released on bail from detention on Tuesday (yesterday) as ordered by the Chief Magistrate, having fulfilled his bail terms. The lawyers, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN) and Kunle Adegoke (SAN) in a statement on Tuesday said Seun’s release was only waiting for administrative approval. It was gathered that  the Chief Magistrate of the Yaba Court where Seun was arraigned was absent from court on Tuesday. But according to his lawyers, the process had nothing to do with whether or not the court had a physical sitting. It was also gathered that the Chief Magistrates Court in Yaba, Lagos State, presided over by Adeola Olatubosun, adjourned Seun’s trial to Wednesday following the absence of the magistrate from the court.   Brazil said on Monday it had formally protested to the Spanish ambassador and would lodge an official complaint with authorities in Madrid over the latest incident of racist abuse directed at Brazilian footballer Vinicius Junior. There has been an outpouring of condemnation in Vinicius’s native Brazil since the Real Madrid star was targeted with racist abuse during the club’s 1-0 loss at Valencia on Sunday. The Brazilian government said Racial Equality Minister Anielle Franco would present an official complaint to Spanish authorities and La Liga. A foreign ministry source meanwhile told AFP the government had protested to Spain’s ambassador in Brazil. “ The Spanish ambassador is away from Brasilia, but we have already been in contact with her by telephone to express the Brazilian government’s displeasure over the repeated racist attacks against (Vinicius) and the need for an adequate response,” the source said.   A group, Isale Eko Descendants Union has been granted permission to seek an order compelling the Lagos State Video and Film Censors Board to impose a N10 billion fine on the ‘Gangs of Lagos’ producer for the ‘wrongful depiction’ of Isale Eko (Lagos Island) as a den of criminals and the Eyo masqueraders as a gang of murderers. The Union had threatened legal action against the producer of Gang of Lagos, Jade Osiberu and called on the National Film and Censors Board (NFVCB) to withdraw the approval granted to the movie. They insisted that Adinmu Orisha’s play isn’t in any way associated with thuggery, violence and gangsterism as projected in the film.   Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that he didn’t just meet his wife recently. According to him, they have known each other for about two decades. He made this known during an interview with Tattleroomng, where he said she has grown to become a part of him, saying how much of a good match they are together. He also stated that she is the best decision he ever made. He said, “Me and my wife, we grew up together, we met in school. We are just so used to each other. She is like a part of me. “You definitely have to get someone that understands you, me and my wife, we are just perfect. It’s just a good match. She is the best decision ever made. And I have known her for almost 20 years and she can cook well.’’ It would be recalled that David and Chioma attended Babcock University where he pursued a degree in music while Chioma was studying Economics.
