“I’m Strong, Prepared For Kidney Transplant” - Eedris Abdulkareem

Nigerian veteran  rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, has said he feels strong and is ready for a kidney transplant after fans reportedly raised over N1m for his surgery via his   GoFundMe   account. Recall that the  Jaga Jaga  singer is currently undergoing dialysis and is expected to go for the transplant on July 27, 2022. His wife, Yetunde, is said to be the kidney donor. During the week, Eedris thanked his fans and friends for their support. He also stated that faith and prayers have been his driving force. He wrote on  Instagram,  “First, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you all for the unalloyed love and care you have shown me since this sad news broke. Nigerian Music Producer, Don Jazzy Loses Mum To Cancer

Ace Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records boss,  Michael Collins Ajereh  popularly known as   Don Jazzy  has lost his mother to the cold hands of death. The label executive broke the sad news in a post on his  Instagram  page on the evening of Friday July 22, 2022. According to Don Jazzy, the matriarch of the Ajereh family breathed her last on the morning of Friday, after a long battle with cancer. “ I lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone @indianpicolo. I am beyond devastated, “ Don Jazzy said. The music producer said even though his mother's death has left him with unimaginable pains, he'd take solace in the fact that she lived a good life. The Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, presided over by Honourable Justice H. A. Nganjiwa, on Friday awarded N100 million against the Nigeria Army, Police others as Compensatory and General Damages in favour of the lawyer to the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, over the alleged invasion of his home. A socio-political activist, Reno Omokri has raised the alarm alleging that the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, are threatening him over comments against the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. In a post on his official Facebook page, Omokri asserted that there is no difference between the secessionist group and the supporters of Peter Obi. IMO MASSACRE: Youths Order Sit-At-Home To Protest Over The Killing Of 14 Youths

There have been crisis in some part of Imo state this week due to the recent killings of which occured in Awo-Omamma, Oru East local government area of the state. It was gathered that 14 Imo youths were gunned down by the state's security operatives called Ebube-Agu when they were returning from a wedding ceremony in Awo-Omamma on Sunday 17th of July, 2022. This has sparked some reactions in the state as angry Imo youths are demanding justice from the state government led by Governor Hope Uzodinma. “The Sit-At-Home Order Imposed Today Is Not From Us” - Says IPOB As They Disown Simon Ekpa

Simon Ekpa The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has dissociated itself from the purported sit-at-home order today by Simon Ekpa, and urged members of the public to discountenance the purported order. Ekpa who claims to be a disciple of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader, had ordered the said sit-at-home to protest last Sunday’s gruesome killing of 14 wedding guests in Imo State by suspected Ebube-Agu security operatives. IPOB said that Ekpa was never its member but a tool in the hands of the enemies to scuttle the struggle for Biafra restoration. Sadio Mane has been named CAF Footballer of the Year, beating fellow Teranga Lions teammate, Edouard Mendy and former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah to the award. Mane who recently joined Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich had a great 2021 as he led Senegal to their first continental title, consecutive World Cup appearance and played a key role in Liverpool’s quadruple bid, albeit it didn’t end as planned. The award is Mane’s second as he becomes the fifth African to win the award in consecutive years since CAF took over the distribution of the award in 1992.
