CBN Extends Old Naira Use Deadline Till February 10

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Sunday extended the deadline for the exchange of old naira notes.

Godwin Emefiele, the CBN governor, extended the date by 10 days.

In a press statement issued on Sunday, Emefiele said the new deadline is now February 10, 2023.

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
