  The Enugu State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has ordered Governor Peter Mbah to appear before it on Friday (today). It was gathered  that the order was sequel to an application made by the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), through its counsel, Barr Alex Amujiogo. Candidate of the PRP, Elder Christopher Agu is in court seeking to upturn the declaration of Barr Peter Mbah as the winner of the March 18 governorship election conducted in the State. He is also claiming that Mbah was not qualified to contest the election, having allegedly forged National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), discharge certificate, among other issues. At the resumed hearing, the PRP counsel, Amujiogo told the tribunal that Mbah was supposed to be in court as a subpoenaed witness. He, however, said from the affidavit deposed to by the bailiff of the Tribunal, it had been difficult to serve Mbah the summon.   Grammy-award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has announced plans to own a jewellery line. The singer disclosed this in on an Afrobeats audiovisual podcast episode hosted by Shopsydoo Adesope. Wizkid who was donning a diamond neckpiece, during the interview, disclosed that it was the first of six pieces his jewellery line would be making this year. The Essence crooner said he designed the piece by himself, noting that it was the beginning of his jewellery line. He said, “This [the neckpiece] is actually the first piece that I designed myself. This is the first of six pieces that I’m making this year. And yeah, the start of my jewellery line. So, it’s about to be some exciting stuff going on.” The Starboy now joins the likes of American superstars Rihanna and Pharrell Williams in the exclusive list of celebrities who owned jewellery lines.

  The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will hold a post-elections review for the just-concluded 2023 polls from July 4 to August 5, 2023. In a statement on Thursday by the commission’s spokesman, Festus Okoye, the electoral umpire said the review will commence with a meeting of the Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) and end with the commission’s retreat. The commission has been holding these review meetings after every general elections since 2011. According to the electoral umpire, the review will focus on all aspects of the electoral activities before, during and after the elections.   Nigerian singer, Harrison Okori popularly known as Harrysong, has revealed his plans to marry a second wife. The ‘Better Pikin’ crooner disclosed this while celebrating his wife, Alexer Perez Gopa’s birthday on Wednesday. He said his wife is godly and sweet, but he would still take a second wife. Sharing a video of his beautiful wife via his Instastory, he wrote, “Today is my wife’s birthday. God woman, sweet woman, my love. But I go still marry second wife sha” It was gathered  that Harrysong and his baby  mama, Perez traditionally tied the knot on March 27, 2022, at a star-studded event in Warri, Delta State.

  The Presidential Petition Court (PEPC), sitting in Abuja yesterday admitted in evidence a bundle of exhibits containing the total number of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), collected in 32 states of the federation before the 2023 general elections. Equally admitted in evidence by the Justice Haruna Tsammani-led five-member panel, was a bundle of documents that contained the total number of registered voters in the states. The exhibits were brought before the court by the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, who alleged that the presidential election held on February 25, was rigged in favour of President Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Though Obi’s legal team was led by Dr. Livy Uzoukwu (SAN), the exhibits were, however, tendered through another senior lawyer in the team, Mr. Peter Afuba (SAN).   Former Big Brother Naija reality star Elozonam Ogbolu has said that dating in Lagos is a cesspool and he would rather prefer to marry a ‘village girl’. The reality star explained that in Lagos, most people in a relationship are sleeping with each other’s partners.  He stated this while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the Is This Seat Taken podcast, hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam. “Lagos is a cesspool.
