One Dead As American Actor Alec Baldwin Discharges Prop Gun On Movie Set

American actor, Alec Baldwin, discharged a prop gun on a movie set on Thursday, leading to the death of the film’s director of photography and injury of its director. A spokesman for the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, Juan Rios, revealed that the cinematographer, 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins was killed, and the director, 48-year-old Joel Souza, was injured around 1.50pm. The 63-year-old actor was on the  movie set of “Rust,” which was being filmed at Santa Fe County in New Mexico when the fatal accident happened,  New York Times  reported. Rios stated that the shooting happened in the middle of the scene and the circumstances of the occurrence are under investigation. According to the official, the Sheriff’s Office was conducting interviews with the people present on the set to determine how the incident occured. “We’re trying to determine right now how and what type of projectile was used in the firearm,” he said. PHOTOS: IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Appears In Court

Photos obtained from the right source   have confirmed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, appeared in court today. The photos showed Kanu and members of his legal counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Aloy Ejimakor and others in the courtroom together. Kanu was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja today over charges of treasonable felony and terrorism. A seven-count charge was last week slammed by the Federal Government against Kanu who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services. During the last proceedings, the IPOB leader was not brought to court. This was blamed on “logistical issues” by the prosecuting lawyer, Mohammed Abubakar. "Officers Who Manhandled A Man At The Scene Of #EndSARS Anniversary Will Face An Internal Orderly Trial" - LNSA

The Lagos State Neighbourhood Agency (LSNA) has said that it has summoned its officers seen manhandling a man in a viral video from the scene of the End SARS anniversary.   A statement released by the Agency said the General Manager of the Agency, Prince Ifalade Oyekan, decried the conduct of the Officers "as he believed it was below the standard operating procedure of the Agency, especially as it affects the protocol of arrest." Following the expected arraignment in court, today, of the embattled leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, his lead counsel, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has made some demands on the Federal Government and law enforcement agencies. Gunmen Kill 3 Imo Traditional Rulers

Tragedy struck in Imo State, yesterday, as yet-to-be identified gunmen opened fire on traditional rulers during a meeting, killing three of them. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the monarchs were meeting at the Njaba Local Council headquarters at Nnenasa when the hoodlums struck. It was gathered that some traditional rulers sustained injuries. At the time of filing this report, the council headquarters was in panic state. Police Public relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mike Abattam, said two of the traditional rulers had been confirmed dead while the command had commenced investigation into the incident. The fallen monarchs are the Obi I of Okwudor Autonomous Community, Eze Anayochukwu Durueburuo and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebineowerre Autonomous Community. "It’s Dangerous To Link Your SIM To Another Subscriber’s NIN" - NCC

The Nigerian Communications Commission has advised telecommunication subscribers not to allow their National Identification Numbers to be linked to another person’s Subscriber Identity Module cards. A statement quoted the NCC as disclosing this during the third run of its Telecom Consumer Town Hall aired on the radio. Speaking on ‘the Benefits of NIN-SIM Integration’, the NCC Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau, Efosa Idehen, said “On no account should a telecom consumer, however circumstanced, allow another person to register a SIM with another person’s NIN.” He said this advice was meant to protect the true owner of the NIN from any liabilities or negative consequences arising from the use of other person’s SIM He said, “If the person, whose SIM is linked to your line, uses their own SIM to commit crimes or any form of atrocities, it is easy to be traced to you and then, you will be dealt with because the SIM is linked to your NIN.” During the radio programme, the NCC further stressed ...
