  Vanessa Bryant and other familes have settled their lawsuit against the company that operated the helicopter involved in the crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others last year.    Plaintiffs in the suit included Bryant and her three surviving daughters, John James and Alexis Altobelli, Christopher Chester and his two surviving children and Matthew Mauser and his three children.   The Imo State Police Command has arrested an Army deserter, Godwin Chukwuemeka, 35, for alleged involvement in the April 5 jailbreak in the state.   The Special Adviser on Media to the state Commissioner of Police, Mike Abatam, while parading the suspect, said the suspect was also involved in the attack on the police command headquarters in Owerri. Abatam who described the suspect as a “notorious criminal,” said he had committed many heinous crimes in the state.   “Following reliable information, tactical teams of the Imo command stormed the hideout of a notorious suspected criminal in the Owerri Nekede area, where one Godwin Chukwuemeka, aka Match and Die, 35, was arrested inside the ceiling of his residence.   A 500-level student of the Akwa Ibom State University, Ekpo Iniobong has reportedly been expelled for allegedly criticising the state governor, Emmanuel Udom in a Facebook post.   Ekpo has now given the university authorities seven days to restore his studentship or face legal actions.   Recounting his ordeal, the student said he was first suspended indefinitely from studies before his expulsion two months ago for publishing a “derogatory and defamatory article” against the state Governor on Facebook in 2019.   Former Imo State Governor and Senator Representing Imo West District, Rochas Okorocha, has warned Igbos over attempting to break up from Nigeria. There have been increased agitations in the Southern region of Nigeria with groups such as the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, working towards the disintegration of Nigeria. Also, the Yorubas have now started pushing for the creation of Oduduwa Republic, increasing secession calls too .   A former presenter and On Air Personality (OAP) with Naija FM, Titus Badejo popularly known as Eja Nla was reportedly killed by unknown gunmen on Saturday June 19 in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.   Inside Oyo reported that the media personality who was in 407 Club at Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State from about 9pm, was shot outside the club at about 11:30 pm.   It was alleged that the gunmen aimed at Eja Nla, shot at him repeatedly and ensured that he was dead before leaving without taking anything from him or his friends.
