A businessman has dragged a police officer who allegedly slept with his wife to court. Clement Asuquo Etim initially narrated how he was allegedly tortured and framed up by a senior policeman, CSP Celestine Umeh after he caught him in bed with his wife Lawrentia Asuquo Etim    Mr Etim has now filed N200m fundamental rights enforcement lawsuit against the Nigeria Police Force for arresting, torturing, and framing him and two eyewitnesses on trumped-up charges, according to Sahara Reporters.   The aggrieved husband joined in the suit the Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, the Officer-in-Charge of General Investigation at the State CID, SP Ekene Nwosu, and a Chief Superintendent of Police, Umeh.   In a 46-page court document seen by SaharaReporters, Etim stated that Umeh violated his fundamental right to private and family life as guaranteed by Section 37 of the Nigerian constitution when he intruded into his matrimonial home at Aba Ukpo...

The body of missing former WWE star Shad Gaspard has washed up on Venice Beach, three days after being swept out to sea during a swim.    Patrol officers were called around 1:25 a.m. by a person reporting that a body had washed ashore, a Los Angeles Police Department statement said.   "The decedent was identified as Shad Gaspard and next of kin was notified," it said.   The American wrestler, 39,  had been declared missing since Sunday afternoon after he was swept out to sea by a rip tide while swimming with a group of swimmers including his 10-year-old son, Aryeh.  Lifeguards who raced into the water to rescue the swimmers were able to rescue Gaspard’s son.    An official working with the L.A. Fire Department said that they believe the 39-year-old "did submerge." The Rwandan government has taken delivery of 5 humanoid robots which can screen and deliver foods and drugs to those suffering from Coronavirus.  BBC reported that the country’s health minister, Daniel Ngamije made the announcement on Tuesday May 19. He also disclosed that the robots were brought in to reduce the exposure of health workers to COVID-19 patients. A Missouri man, who was sentenced to death for killing an elderly woman nearly three decades ago, is set to become the first person to be executed since the coronavirus pandemic was announced. Walter Barton, 64, will die by lethal injection tonight for the slaying of Gladys Kuehler, 81, in 1991. The execution is expected to hold despite the fact that a jury recently said that "compelling" new evidence made them feel "uncomfortable" about the conviction. A federal appeals court on Sunday overturned a 30-day stay of execution granted by a judge two days earlier and Republican Missouri Gov. Mike Parson said Monday that he had not heard anything to make him reconsider the execution which will "move forward as scheduled."
