Ebola Kills 1,500 People In DRC

More than 1,500 people have died in a nearly 10-month-old outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the health ministry said Monday. As of Sunday, 1,506 people have died out of 2,239 recorded cases, it said. Earlier this month, the virus claimed two lives in neighbouring Uganda among a family who had travelled to the DRC. Nearly 141,000 people have been vaccinated in the affected eastern DRC provinces of Ituri and North Kivu, the epicentre of the oubreak. Ebola spreads among humans through close contact with the blood, body fluids, secretions or organs of an infected person, or objects contaminated by such fluids. The current outbreak in the DRC is the worst on record after an epidemic that struck mainly in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone between 2014-2016, killing more than 11,300 people. Slovak company AeroMobil signed a cooperation agreement with a luxury car brand at the Shanghai international exhibition. AeroMobil, a Slovak company behind the revolutionary flying car of the same name, starred in Shanghai and ended up signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Baoneng Motor. “ The Chinese mobility market has huge potential as it grows and innovates very fast,   ” said Juraj Vaculík, co-founder and CEO of AeroMobil, as quoted in a press release.   “ China plans to build up to 500 new airports for general aviation by 2020. ” The Slovak company also introduced the latest AeroMobil design called Sky Dragon, designed exclusively for the Chinese market, at the international exhibition in Shanghai. Late Michael Jackson 29/08/1958 - 25/06/2009 Today(25th of June 2019) marks the 10 year remembrance of the late King Of Pop, Michael Joseph Jackson popularly known as Michael Jackson who died of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication at his home on North Carolwood Drive in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles on the 25th of June, 2009. He was set to do his concert This Is It at the London O2 Arena before his death. It was announced that his doctor Conrad Murray overdosed him with drugs that led to his death. The doctor was charged with involuntary manslaughter by a Los Angeles court and sentenced to four years in prison. He got released in 2013.

American multi-national auction house, Heritage Auctions is set to sell off Tupac Shakur’s prison identification card to the highest bidder. The bid for the 24-year-old ID which carries the rapper’s signature is slated to start on July 1 starts at $2K. His prison ID in 1995 In 1995, the American rapper was sentenced to jail for a year and a half for first-degree sexual assault. He was jailed at the Clinton Correctional Facility. The rapper was however released after serving nine months of his sentence. While in jail, the controversial rapper married his girlfriend, Keisha Morris but they were divorced barely a year later. 

JAMB Nabs 19 Year Old Adah Eche For Alleged Falsification Of UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has apprehend one Adah Eche, a 19-year-old admission seeker who allegedly falsified his Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result. The 19 year old candidate was alleged to have engaged the services of some cum men through facebook and whatsapp platforms, having come across an advertisement which read, “Do you want to upgrade your 2019 JAMB results? Is your scores too poor for admission into any of the universities, then contact the following numbers…”. Eche who fell for the trick quickly contacted the numbers and requested that his scores be upgraded from the original 153 to 200 but they later settled for 290. His Result After transferring some monies to the fraudsters, he then wrote a letter to the JAMB authority informing them that they made a mistake in his scores earlier released and that his main scores was 290. "Oyo State Has The Highest Number Of Internet Fraud" - EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibadan zonal office on Monday declared that Oyo State has the highest number of internet and cyber crimes in the South West region. Head of Ibadan zonal office of EFCC, Mr. Friday Ebelo, while addressing journalists in Ibadan, the state capital, said most of the crimes were committed in Lagos State but the offenders found shield in the Oyo. He said if investigation was focused on a particular state, the state would no doubt have highest concentration and crimes. He lamented that the commission had no facilities for effective investigation in the zone, saying that it would have been easier to carry out investigations in five states in a day. He also decried a situation whereby youths between ages of 18 and 39 were involved in the crimes, adding that majority of them had been convicted.
