12 Prostitutes Jailed In Lagos

  The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) popularly known as KAI on Wednesday secured the conviction of 12 Commercial Sex Workers. They were sentenced to eight months imprisonment for offences bordering on prostitution and breach of peace during a dislodgement operation led by the Corps Marshal of the Agency. The Corps Marshal, Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (rtd) made this disclosure on Monday at the Command Headquarters of the Agency at Bolade-Oshodi, Lagos. He said:  ‘‘the THEMES agenda of Mr. Governor clearly stated the need for Lagos to be habitable for business and the situation at Obalende has deteriorated over time, prompting the need for us to launch a large-scale enforcement operation against these nefarious elements that want to desecrate our environment which resulted in arrests and multiple secured convictions’’. “Reason Behind Nnamdi Kanu’s Request For Justice Nyako To Step Down” – Legal Team

  Nnamdi  Kanu's legal team has given explanation why they asked  Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court to recuse herself from his trial. Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.   On September 24, Kanu had demanded that Justice Nyako step down from his trial because he lacked confidence in her judgement.   Despite arguments from lawyers of the Nigerian Government, the judge recused herself from the trial.   However, a team of Kanu’s lawyers led by the lead counsel, Aloy Ejimakor said their client was only exercising his constitutional right.   Addressing a press conference in Abuja, Ejimakor said the Department of State Services, DSS, has continued to disregard court ruling allowing the legal team unmonitored access to their client.   According to Ejimakor:  “We called this impromptu press briefing to recap what happened in court on September 24. The former actress who previously claimed on Tuesday,  October 1, that she is in the process of getting a divorce from her husband, Yaroslav Rakos, alleged that he had been abusing her and is trying to take their kids from her by claiming she's mentally unstable. She added that he relocated her to a foreign country and has now abandoned her to fend for herself, leaving her homeless. However, later on the same day, she made a post thanking her husband for the good times and said they will work towards co-parenting in peace. She added that she is training to be a nurse and shared a video of herself dressed as a nurse. Woman Sentenced To 10 Years Imprisonment For Stabbing Husband's Side Chick

  A  court has sentenced a Zimbabwean woman, Stacey Mkandla, to 10 years imprisonment after she was found guilty of stabbing her husband’s lover. She stabbed the lady after discovering the two in a compromising position in her marital bed earlier this year. The 34-year-old was alerted by neighbors while attending an all-night church service and rushed home around 4 a.m., where she found her husband, Tafadzwa Emmanuel Munyoro, in bed with his lover, Brightness Phiri. According to Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, Mkandla had left her home the previous evening to participate in a prayer session, leaving her husband alone. Upon discovering the affair, a chaotic confrontation ensued, with Phiri attempting to flee naked before succumbing to injuries inflicted by Mkandla.   A  mother of twins who called out her abroad boyfriend who abandoned her and the babies has gotten N5 million from Nigerians.   She shared her story on Twitter how the father of her babies left her and traveled abroad without any support.   Following her emotional story, Nigerians have now come to her rescue.   Expressing thanks to Nigerians, she revealed that she has gotten N5m.   “I want to thank you all for all the support so far.   Embattled  American Hip-hop mogul, Sean 'Diddy' Combs who was detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York over sex trafficking allegations has now been removed from suicide watch. The Grammy-winning artist is 'focused and very strong' amid his incarceration, as he's 'concentrating on his defense and preparing for his trial,' a source on his legal team told People on Sunday. The 54-year-old has received visits from relatives during his nearly two weeks in custody, the law enforcement source told People.   The  Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned people in the South East not to celebrate Nigeria's Independence Day on October 1.
