American Rapper Lil Baby Arrested In Paris For Drug Possession

Paris police on Thursday arrested American singer Lil Baby for allegedly “carrying drugs”, police sources said.

NBA star James  Harden, in the French capital with the rapper for Fashion Week, was also stopped and searched but released, the sources said.

Lil Baby, real name Dominique Jones, was in a parked car from which “wafted a smell of cannabis”, the source said.

During the search on the chic Avenue Montaigne in the heart of the capital “about 20 grams of cannabis grass were discovered” in the car, Le Parisien newspaper reported.

Lil Baby was taken to a nearby police station and kept in custody. 

In a video posted on Twitter, Harden, who has played for the Brooklyn Nets since January, can be seen surrounded by several police officers, with one patting him down.

The prosecutor’s office said an investigation was opened for transporting drugs.

Lil Baby, part of the Black Lives Matter movement, was twice  nominated for a Grammy music award in 2020 for “The Bigger Picture”.

Ibom Air Passenger Remanded In Prison

  Comfort Emmanson, a passenger of Ibom Air who had a fight with officials has been arraigned and remanded in custody.   A video of her in a flight inbound Lagos from Uyo has since gone viral.   The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Media and Communications, Tunde Moshood, who revealed this, said Emmanson has been remanded in the Kirikiri correctional facility.   Moshood disclosed this in a post on X on Monday shortly after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), said enforcement action will soon become more frequent in Nigerian airports as unruly conduct by passengers becomes rampant.
