Newcastle Loanee Joe Willock Wins Premier League Player Of The Month For May

Joe Willock has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for May.

The academy graduate – who spent the latter half of the season on loan at Newcastle – enjoyed a formidable run of form in the closing games of the campaign, scoring seven goals in seven consecutive matches.

In doing so, he became the only player since Alan Shearer in 1996 to complete that feat for the northeast side.

Joe saw off competition from our own Nicolas Pepe, as well as Gareth Bale, Said Mane, Christian Benteke, Aaron Ramsdale, and Rodrigo.
