"I Saw Ancelotti Laughing With The Referee After Chelsea Were Knocked Out" - Tuchel

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has hit out at referee, Szymon Marciniak, for laughing with Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, after their Champions League quarter-final second leg on Tuesday.

The Blues have been eliminated from the competition, despite winning 3-2 at the Bernabeu. This means Tuchel’s men will not defend the title they won last season. However, after the match, Tuchel spoke about Ancelotti’s behaviour with Marciniak.

He said: “I like Carlo Ancelotti, he is a very nice man. “When I went to go and shake his hand, I saw the referee smiling and laughing and with the opposition coach. “This is a very bad time to do this, and I told him this.”

  The Uni ted States House of Representatives has approved an amendment seeking to withhold 100 per cent of the U.S. assistance to Nigeria until the country takes stronger measures to address violence and alleged persecution of Christians. The amendment, sponsored by the U.S. Congressman Gregory Steube, was adopted through a voice vote on Wednesday and attached to the fiscal year 2027 State Department spending bill, which was later passed by the House by 217-209 votes, largely along party lines.
