US Rap Mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Arrested In New York

  Sean “Diddy” Combs has been arrested by federal agents on Monday night in a Manhattan hotel, in New York, the U.S Attorney’s Office in New York said. According to a person familiar with the situation, who described him as caught off-guard by the apprehension. Combs had been living at the hotel for several weeks, a person with knowledge of the investigation said. U.S Attorney Damian Williams confirmed in a statement that on Monday evening, federal agents had arrested Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed by the Southern District of New York. “We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time,” Williams said. Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed disappointment in a statement. Lagos State Government Seals Cubana Chiefpriest’s Restaurant

  The  Lagos State Government has sealed Donalds, a restaurant in the Lekki area owned by nightlife businessman, Cubana Chiefpriest. This  was confirmed by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on Sunday. According to him, the action was taken after several warnings due to noise pollution and other environmental infractions. Wahab  wrote: “After several warnings and abatement notices, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency @LasepaOfficial sealed Donald’s Fast Food on Adebayo Doherty Street, Lekki 1 over noise pollution and other environmental infractions.” Cubana Chiefpriest only opened the restaurant over a month ago.

NSCDC Rescues 12-Year-Old Girl Tortured For Two Years In Akwa Ibom State

  A  12-year-old girl, Bright Sunday, who was allegedly locked up in a dilapidated building by her father, has been rescued by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akwa Ibom State. The State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr Eluyemi Eluwade, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Uyo, the state capital, on Saturday. He said the victim was locked up by her father, Ndifreke Sunday, in connivance with her stepmother, Mrs Victory Sunday – 28 years old, both from Ikot Ukporo Idoro Village in Ibiono Ibom local government area of the state. He said that the victim’s rescue and subsequent arrest of the suspects followed a complaint from the State Ministry of Justice about the suspects torturing the victim. Gunmen Kill Enugu Market Chairman

  The  Chairman of Ogbete Market Amalgamated Traders’ Association (OMATA), Mr. Stephen Aniagu, was on Saturday night murdered in cold blood. The development has created tension in Enugu, the Coal City capital.  It was gathered that  Aniagu, Chairman of the largest market in the state, was shot dead by gunmen suspected to be assassins. The assailants were reported to have murdered him at the Topland Area of the state, after which they made away with his car. A gory video in circulation showed Aniagu’s lifeless body riddled with bullets, with residents surrounding him in shock and disbelief. The Enugu State Police is yet to issue any statement on the incident.

  The Kogi State Police Command has arrested and paraded four suspects in connection with the gruesome killing of Damilola Olowoyo, a 19-year-old first-year student of the Federal University Lokoja. The  main suspect, Jeremiah Paul, 20, was apprehended along with three accomplices: Emmanuel Otitoju, Banabas Olugbenga, and Ajayi Basit Ayomide. Paul, a native of Chikun Local Government in Kaduna State, admitted to orchestrating the murder, which he described as part of a money ritual plan initiated through contact with a native doctor he found on TikTok. In his shocking confession, Paul explained how he befriended Damilola with the intention of using her for ritual purposes. “I met met Damilola last Sunday and we started chatting. I already had it in mind that I wanted to use her for rituals," Paul stated. He lured her to his home after drugging her with a mixture of codeine and Sprite. Chioma  was said to have died on the spot while her husband, George passed away from his injuries on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
