There are many large hotels around the world but Saudi Arabia will soon have the largest. It is set to open in Mecca next year and will have at least 2,000 more rooms than the biggest hotel in the world today. The hotel, called Abraj Kudai, is currently under construction and is expected to open next year. The building will have 10,000 rooms. The First World Hotel & Plaza, located in Malaysia, currently has the Guinness World Record for largest hotel in the world with 7,351 rooms. The estimated project cost is around $3.5 billion and the hotel will have 12 towers, each with 45 floors. The hotel will also have 70 restaurants, a shopping mall, a number of ballrooms and five helipads. Five floors will be reserved for the Saudi royal family. Ten of the twelve towers will provide four-star accommodations while the other two will offer five-star accommodations. Gospel singer, Osinachi Joseph Kalu, popularly known as Sinach is now a mum.  It was reported that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome happily broke the gladdening news during the just concluded LIMA awards, which was held in Lagos at the Loveworld Convocation Arena. A pregnant 13-year-old girl has allegedly killed herself after she was held captive and gang raped by up to six men. The teenager, identified only by her nickname, Pinkie, reportedly jumped from a block of flats to her death just before midnight on Friday in Bangkok, Thailand. It was also alleged that she took a picture of her legs dangling from the roof and sent it to a friend with a message reading: 'I'm about to go, I love you.'  According to local media the girl also wrote a series of posts on Facebook such as 'I'm about to go' and 'If I wasn't pregnant, I would have gone a long time ago'.  Her 45-year-old mother reported the attack to police and told them that a gang of six men held her daughter captive in a flat and raped her on the night of November 11. Officials of the Lagos State Task Force, in conjunction veterinary doctors from the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, have succeeded in moving the lion found at a private home around Victoria Island to a zoo in Omu Resorts, Lekki.  There had been palpable fear at No. 229, Muri Okunola Street,Victoria Island area following discovery of the two-year-old big cat in one of the apartments by some residents. It was gathered that an Indian, whose identity has not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report, owns the lion. He was said to have told the property owner that he wanted to rent the apartment for his own use but did not live there. Instead, he rented it for the lion. Police in Fresno, Calif., said Monday they were searching for at least two attackers in a shooting at a backyard family gathering over the weekend that left four people dead and six injured in what appeared to be a targeted attack. The shooting stunned Southeast Asian Hmong residents in Fresno, which is home to the largest Hmong population in California and the second-largest Hmong population in the United States. “It’s a dark day in our community,” Pao Yang, head of a nonprofit that serves Southeast Asian refugees, said Monday. “Our community is mourning. Ariana Grande has been forced to cancel her Sunday night, November 17 concert in Lexington, Kentucky after struggling to shake off a bad sinus infection. According to her mother-in-law, the woman in question told her husband Emeka Ajoihe to go for a vigil while she stays at home with the children and immediately the husband left for the vigil she locked the door. Before the husband could return from a vigil at about 12 pm, she has stabbed her 5 to 6-month baby, her 2yr old daughter, and 3yr old daughter. The baby boy of 5 to 6 months and the second daughter were already dead when he came back but the third daughter was rushed to the hospital. Driving through the endless dunes and cacti of the Chihuahuan desert in northern Mexico, a shimmering blue field suddenly appears on the horizon -- not a mirage, but the largest solar park in Latin America. This silent stretch of sand in the state of Coahuila is the spot the Italian energy giant Enel picked to build the Villanueva power plant: 2.3 million solar panels that sprawl across a sun-soaked area the size of 2,200 football fields.  When the plant reaches full capacity later this year, it will supply enough electricity to power 1.3 million homes. A 60-year-old Catholic priest,  Rv Fr.Edmond Nwagbala of St. Peter Claver Catholic Parish Nnew ichi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State was early hours of Saturday burnt to death. A bride has gone viral over the way she decided on arriving at her wedding. Many had the wedding had the scare of their lives after the bride decided to arrive her own wedding in a coffin. Belgian First Division B club, Westerlo has sacked their Nigerian import, Emmanuel Emenike, just two months after he joined the club as a free agent.  The former Fenerbahce and West Ham United striker joined the club with the ambition of helping them secure promotion back to the top-flight. A French tourist fell to his death after ignoring warning signs to try and take a selfie at a Thai waterfall. Bastien Palmier, 33, was with his friend visiting the idyllic beauty spot on the island of Koh Samui in Surat Thani province yesterday morning. But friends said he defied warning signs and clambered over a rope to venture onto the edge of the Na Mueang 2 waterfall - the same place where Spanish tourist David Rocamundi Conesa, 26, died while trying to take a picture in July. Palmier was standing near the 260ft high waterfall's cliff edge while either taking a selfie, or trying to get into position for a selfie, when he slipped and fell to his death on the sharp, wet rocks and into the pool below. Police and rescue workers retrieved the tourist's body, which was floating face-down in the water.  The Frenchman's forehead had been split open and his body was covered in cuts and bruises from the fall. Although the young boy has become an instant celebrity, many experts dispute the claim that he is the product of the sexual intercourse between a human and a chimpanzee. A spokesperson from the Parc national de Cameia commented the news by saying that they sincerely regret the loss of Anita Dembo but also condoned “any inappropriate or sexual acts with any animals in the park.”  “Any sexual interaction between employees or visitors of the park with animals is not encouraged behavior under current park guidelines,” a spokesman for Parc national de Cameia told reporters. The child’s mother, Anita Dembo, allegedly entertained an affair with a chimpanzee that endured for many years during her employment at the Parc national de Cameia where she has worked as a conservation officer since 1998.

A chef who liked to stay up late watching football on his phone is believed to have died after being electrocuted by the handset. Somchai Singkhorn, 40, was last seen on Tuesday night laying on his mattress with a can of beer, watching TV on his phone with his headphones plugged in.  But Somchai, who worked as a restaurant cook, was found dead the next morning in his room in Samut Prakan, Thailand with burn marks on his arm and neck where they had touched the cable. The phone was plugged into the mains and the earphones were resting across Somchai's arm, face and neck.  Stunned roommate Saeng, 28, from neighbouring Laos, called his boss to report that his friend was sick. It wasn't until later that he discovered Somchai was actually dead. American rapper Kodak Black was sentenced on Wednesday to more than three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges stemming from his arrest just before a scheduled concert performance in May. The 22 year-old Black admitted in August that he falsified information on federal forms to buy four firearms from a Miami-area gun shop on two separate occasions. Black was able to obtain three of the weapons: a 9 mm handgun, a .380-caliber handgun and a semi-automatic Mini Draco weapon. Authorities said one of the guns was found at the scene of a March shooting in Pompano Beach, although he has not been charged in that case. Black also faces drug, weapons and sexual assault charges in other states that remain pending. He has had several previous arrests. Students of Umolozi TVET College province of KwaZulu- Natal, South Africa gathered for the memorial service of a civil engineering student shot dead by armed robbers. The deceased, identified as  Mbongeni ‘Doctor’ Mthombeni, was murdered following a robbery gone wrong in Esikhaleni. The Incident happened few hours before he was to write his final examination. Two armed robbers, it was gathered, approached Mthombeni and a female friend at about 8 pm on Thursday, October 31 and in the process, shots were fired, which saw Mbongeni and his friend fled the scene and ran in different directions. The friend reported the incident at the eSikhawini police station but when officers got to the crime scene, they found no clues and Mbongeni’s whereabouts were unknown. A 20-year-old University of Texas student, Eyitoluwa Olayeye, has been arrested by the Austin Police Department for reportedly killing his mother. Eyitoluwa was arrested after the police responded to a emergency call made by the Holiday Inn Express at 805 Neches St. just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday November 6. 48-year-old Kehinde Olayeye had flown to Austin from Georgia with her sister to visit Eyitoluwa on Tuesday November 5, after he was released from Dell Seton medical center where he underwent a psychiatric evaluation for touching someone inappropriately at University of Texas library.  Kehinde's sister told the police that the suspect kept saying "I pray that God brings us together" on phone before his friends told his mother what happened on campus, prompting the unplanned visit to Austin. His aunt also said Eyitoluwa told them that the hospital was trying to hold him because of a mental issue, but he "just told them what they wante...

A Twitter user with the handle @HonBenard has shared a touching photo on the platform that has left social media users charged up about the rare bond between fathers and their sons. While sharing the photo, he accompanied it with a caption in which he charged people never to run away from their parents, regardless of the hardships or disturbing situations they may be faced with.
