"Nigerians To Pay N4,000 Monthly For Solar System" - Presidency

Zabarmari Massacre: Photos From The Funeral Of 43 Rice Farmers Slaughtered By Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum on Sunday morning, November 29, led kinsmen and other shocked  residents of Zabarmari community for the funeral of 43 farmers slaughtered by suspected members of Boko Haram.    Though the victims lived in Zabarmari, a farming community in Jere Local Government Area of the state famous for rice cultivation and local processing, they were attacked and brutally murdered on Saturday, at Koshebe village, in Mafa Local Government Area while working in a rice field.    During the visit, a resident (named withheld) told Governor Zulum that some farmers are still missing after the massacre.   "Your Excellency, as you have seen here, 43 corpses were buried, but others have not been retrieved from the scene of the incident. Nobody can tell you the exact number of people killed. COVID-19: Barcelona Agree Salary Slash Worth €122 Million With Players And Staffs

  Kano Hisbah  has reportedly written a notice to Cool FM, demanding that they stop calling Friday 'Black Friday' ahead of a "Black Friday Sales" expected to be conducted today November 27.    According to the Sharia Police, majority of Kano residents are Muslims and they consider Friday a holy day.    The notice also disclosed that Hisbah corps will be "around for surveillance purposes" with a view of stopping immoral activities at the event as well as maintain peace, harmony and stability in the state.   

Drama As Man Wakes Up In Mortuary In Pain When Morgue Worker Cut Open His Leg While Preparing To Embalm Him After He Was Declared Dead

  A man in Kenya who was allegedly declared dead by doctors came back to life three hours later while workers at a morgue were preparing to embalm him.   32-year-old Peter Kigen was presumed dead on Tuesday, November 24, after he collapsed at home and was rushed to Kapkatet hospital in Kericho county, according to local media.   After being transferred to the morgue, Mr. Kigen shocked the staff as he suddenly woke up and wailed in pain as they made an incision on his right leg.   Kigen, a resident of Kibwastuiyo village in Bureti Constituency, who reportedly suffers from a chronic illness, is said to have collapsed while at home before his family took him to hospital   His younger brother told Standard newspaper that a nurse had told him the patient had died before they arrived at the casualty department.   “When I went back to the casualty department at around 7.45 pm, I learnt my brother was dead. A nurse told me that he died long before we arrived at the hospital,” Kipkurui said.

  Justice J.K Omotosho of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has sentenced six foreigners and a Nigerian to seven years imprisonment for oil theft.   A statement released by the Economic and Financial Commission EFCC, says the foreigners which include two Pakistanis, Mohammed Ejaz, and Nasser Khan; two Ukrainians; Oleksandr Nazarenko and Oleksandr Kashernvi; a Ghanaian, Romeo Annang; an Indonesian, Fredrik Omenu, and a Nigerian David Otuohi, were convicted after three years of prosecution.     According to the statement, they were arraigned alongside a company, Asztral Shipping Corporation SA, and a vessel, MT. TECNE (aka MT STAR), on four counts bordering on conspiracy, dealing in petroleum products without a license, and tampering with oil pipelines. They pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.   Their pleas prepared the ground for their trial by the EFCC, which for three years presented evidence and witnesses against the convicts.   In his

  A former staff of Wazobia FM has died and his colleagues claim he committed suicide after being fired.   Hillary Okechukwu was a sales executive with Wazobia FM until November 18 when he was allegedly asked to resign.   Mr. Okechukwu, whose colleagues said had been with Wazobia FM for at least 10 years, reportedly suffered cardiac arrest on Friday, Nov 20.   Hillary is survived by his wife and two children.   Mourning him, OAP Kody D Kodynator wrote: "Hillary!!!!!!!!! What kind of thing is this???"     Sports journalist, Bolarinwa Olajide wrote: "People are going through a lot, and sacking people unjustly is the last thing an employer should do in these times. A friend was sacked and took his life the following day. Do not test people’s mental health. Nigeria is hard enough. RIP Hilary O."     Another person tweeted: "This year couldn’t get any worse. Hillary was like a brother to me. God please why!!!!!!"

Outrage As Twitter Influencer Entices Child Beggar With A Bottle Of Drink Then Leaves Her Hanging

  A Twitter influencer has sparked outrage after she was filmed enticing a child beggar with a bottle of drink only to leave her hanging.   In the video, the influencer known as Motara is seen driving in traffic when a child beggar walks up to her window to beg.   Motara motions with her bottle of drink, asking if the child wants to drink and she nods. With the window still up, Motara places the mouth of the bottle near the girl's mouth.    As the cars start moving, the girl runs after Motara's car, hoping for the drink, but the Twitter influencer continues to use the drink to raise her hopes without actually giving the child the drink.   She ends up laughing at the child before gulping down the drink and driving off.   Motara shared the video on her WhatsApp status then took it down, but it had already been captured by others and it went viral.   After she was called out, she issued an apology on Twitter.   Her apology reads: "I made the video yesterday cause stupidly I t

FIFA Bans Haiti Football Federation President After Finding Him Guilty Of Sexually Abusing Minors And Female Players

  International world football governing body, FIFA, has banned Yves Jean-Bart, the president of the Haiti Football Federation, from all football-related activities and fined him 1m Swiss francs (£827,000) after its ethics committee found him guilty of having abused his position and sexually harassed and abused female players, including minors.   Jean-Bart, known as “Dadou”, was first accused of coercing several players at the Fifa centre, the Centre Technique National in Croix-des-Bouquets, into having sex with him in an investigation carried out. Then numerous sources involved with the centre, including alleged victims and their families came out and made more allegations.   In May, Jean-Bart,  was provisionally suspended by FIFA while the organization's ethics committee carried out an internal investigation into the allegations.
