    Erik ten Hag has been appointed as manager of German club, Bayer 04 Leverkusen.   The announcement was made on Monday.   Ten Hag signed a contract that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until June 2027.   “Let’s get started! “Erik ten Hag signs with Bayer 04 as our new head coach until 2027!” t he club posted in an official statement on Monday via X, welcoming Ten Hag, confirming the deal.   The 54-year-old tactician replaces Xabi Alonso, who previously led Leverkusen to domestic success.   Ten Hag was widely considered the main candidate for the role following Alonso’s departure.   The club confirmed that the deal is a two-year agreement, running through to the end of the 2026/27 season.

Former Big Brother Naija star, Khloe Abiri's spa, Sayria Spa has issued a statement following claims of sexual assault allegation made by content creator Angelica Kelechi.   It was gathered that the incident allegedly occurred at the spa on May 21, 2025.   The management of the spa confirmed that the client booked a surprise spa experience for her sister and requested for a male therapist, who reportedly conducted the massage “professionally” with both clients side by side during the session.   Sayria claims that at no point during or after the massage did the client express discomfort, and that she and her sister tipped staff ₦25,000 and stayed at the spa for a while before leaving.   Following their treatments, both clients expressed satisfaction, tipped our team a total of ₦25,000 and remained at the spa for an extended period before leaving.   The statement also revealed that the client returned later in the evening with individuals and police officers, and ...

Nigerian actress, Adunni Ade has debunked reports claiming that she said she's unable to get a partner even with her beauty.   Recall that it was widely spread over the weekend that the 48-year-old actress had blamed her single status on her.   Reacting in a post on Instagram, she threatened to sue blogs spreading such news.   She wrote:   “I kindly request you to take down this post within 24 hours to prevent further action involving my legal team. . “I don’t appreciate the fact that you are using my name to peddle false news and articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement.”  

  Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has been given an international appointment.   He has been appointed into the International Football Association Board (IFAB).   Oliseh confirmed this appointment via his official X account on Monday.   He wrote:  “Thrilled to announce my appointment to the International Football Association Board (IFAB)! “IFAB is the global guardian of football’s laws, responsible for determining the laws of football, shaping the beautiful game for players and fans worldwide. “Honored to contribute to its mission!” Oliseh’s appointment to the IFAB board will see the former Dortmund and Juventus midfielder work with some of football’s most influential figures, including legendary Arsenal boss, Arsène Wenger.   Wenger sits on the Football and Technical Advisory Panels and has previously worked with Oliseh within FIFA’s technical study group in recent years.

  Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has announced his withdrawal from all prior agreements aimed at resolving the ongoing crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This is as he vowed to fight on until justice is attained. This was contained in a statement on Sunday titled; “PDP Crisis: My Position,” which he personally signed. Wike said he had pointed out to the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, that he was the architect of the party’s present problems. Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, the veteran Nigerian rapper, who is popularly known as Ruggedman, has refuted widespread reports claiming he was arrested for financial misconduct along with fellow artists Zaki Azzay, Sunny Neji, Boniface Itodo, and Fega Michaels. The video allegedly circulated by the Channels Television surfaced Friday where the governor was seen ordering his commissioners to either defect with him to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or resign their positions. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced that the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) will undergo a scheduled maintenance shutdown starting May 24, 2025. In a statement on Saturday by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Femi Soneye, NNPCL said the shutdown is part of a planned maintenance and sustainability assessment aimed at ensuring optimal performance of the facility. He said that further updates about the development will be provided regularly through official channels.   The departing Real Madrid icon, Luka Modric's next destination, has been disclosed. The Croatian could be linking up with legendary football star, Lionel Messi, at US Major League Soccer side, Inter Miami. Modric has already made his decision to leave Los Blancos at the end of the season known. Nigerian woman, Adeola Omotoso, who is the daughter of Nollywood actress Jumoke George, has shared the story of how she was sold for prostitution in Mali. It had earlier been reported that Adeola was reunited with her mother after she was found in Mali. The victim, who spoke in a recent interview, revealed that her ordeal started after she met someone who offered to help her travel to Mali for work. When Adeola got to the country’s capital, she was informed that she had been “bought” and would have to work as a prostitute to repay 1.5 million CFA francs. She said,  “I met someone who introduced travelling to Mali to me.   Selena Doxzon, a 28-year-old mother in Wisconsin has been arrested in connection with the death of her 13-month-old son, who reportedly drowned after she allegedly left him unattended in a deep bathtub. Doxzon was taken into custody last week and charged with one count of neglecting a child-consequence is death, court documents show. According to a copy of the criminal complaint obtained by Law&Crime, on May 15, 2025, a woman told investigators she heard her neighbour — later identified as Doxzon — “screaming from the lower unit of the duplex.” When the caller went downstairs, she said she saw Doxzon holding her son. The caller said the boy’s “body was lifeless” and his “skin was blue in colour.”  Doxzon was on the phone with 911 at the time and “too upset to effectively communicate,” police said.   One of Nigeria's most famous rappers, Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, popularly known as Ruggedman, along with three others, was arraigned on Friday at Yaba Magistrate Court 1 over allegations of burglary and the theft of $130,000 from the Performing Musicians Employers' Association of Nigeria (PMAN) national secretariat in Lekki. It was gathered that this was confirmed by a source close to the police investigation. The source said:  “The defendants brought to Yaba Court 1 by the police are Ruggedman, Fruitful Mekwunye, Boniface Itodo, and Faga Bem-Paul for arraignment. Sunny Neji and Zakky Azzay remain at large. “The charges include conspiracy, breaking and entry, and cybercrimes. However, the charges will be amended on the next adjourned date.   A judgment by Justice Benson Anya of the Abia State High Court on the military invasion of the residence of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in 2017 has been admitted as evidence.   A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja and presided by Justice James Omotosho admitted the judgment and two others on Wednesday.   Recall that Justice Anya, delivering judgment in the fundamental rights suit filed by Kanu, had declared that the invasion of Kanu’s home in Umuahia, Abia State, in September 2017, was illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional and amounted to an infringement of his fundamental rights to life, dignity and fair hearing.   The judge subsequently ordered the Nigerian government to pay Kanu the sum of ₦1 billion for infringing his rights as guaranteed under the 1999 Nigerian Constitution and the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.   Justice Omotosho admitted the said judgment in evidence, as well as the certified...
