Seyi Tinubu Visits Obi Cubana, Presents Him With City Boy Movement Appointment Letter

Prominent Nigerian businessman and socialite, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has received an appointment letter naming him the South-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Iyiegbu made the disclosure in a statement on his Instagram page on Tuesday.

He revealed that Seyi visited his residence on Monday night to present him with the certificate of appointment.

The Anambra-born entrepreneur said the visit also provided an opportunity for both men to discuss various national issues.

“Last night, my long-time friend and brother, Seyi Tinubu, paid me a visit at my home. We held great conversations about everything,” he stated.

Addressing the mixed reactions that trailed his appointment, Obi Cubana defended his decision to accept the role, insisting that meaningful change could only be achieved through active engagement rather than isolation.

“I’m fully aware of the varied reactions it has sparked. My belief remains firm: lasting change comes from constructive engagement, not standing apart,” he said.

The nightlife entrepreneur emphasized that his new position would not compromise his commitment to integrity, community development, and responsible leadership.

“I’ve learned that influence is limited from the outside, so yes, here we are! I am a City Boy through and through, inside and out,” he declared.

Iyiegbu described President Tinubu as “a City Boy and a man of commerce,” expressing his determination to ensure inclusivity in discharging his duties.

“All of us need all of us in order to achieve our national aspirations, and I am committed to carrying every Nigerian along in all that I do,” he added.

The socialite called for respect for differing opinions while urging Nigerians to focus on creating tangible value for national development.

“Let’s respect differing views, keep conversations vibrant, and stay focused on building real value. The moment is now, we move!” he stated.

He thanked his supporters for their goodwill and pledged to work towards a more inclusive future.
