  A man who ‘arrested’ a communal deity which he insisted had been tormenting his community with poverty, failure of businesses, and lack of marriage for eligible bachelors, has been arrested by the Enugu state police command.    The middle-aged man identified as Nnajiofor Donatus said he was motivated to remove the deity by an unnamed higher force. He blamed the deity for the level of poverty in Ibeku Opi, adding that he crashed out of his thriving honey business job in Anambra State, returning home with nothing to show for his efforts.   Vanguard reported that onlookers who were frightened at the sight of the man and the deity, observed that he showed strange behaviour and barked whenever anyone gets close to him.   He was said to have acted violently to anyone who tried to stop him from gaining entrance to Okunere adoration museum at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, to liberate Ibeku Opi community out of the fetish powers of the deity.

  Ini Edo took to Instagram to share a candid photo and a video of the damage done to her skin after she changed her skincare product.   The actress explained that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, she couldn't access her regular skincare products and a friend recommended an alternative which she tried but it ended up damaging her skin.   She said the damage to her skin has made her depressed. She added that her face looks like she has eczema and she hasn't been able to use any products on her skin for days.   Sharing the photo and video, she wrote:   DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to bleach!! . I really really love my #Brownsugar. . This is skin care product gone bad! What can I do? I am currently on set and it’s quite embarrassing especially because it looks like eczema  .   The Lagos state Ministry of Environment & Water Resources has arrested some residents of the state for open defecation.    Some of the culprits were arrested while openly defecating on Carter Bridge and Ilubirin, Lagos Island in contravention of Sanitation laws on Friday September 25.   A tweet shared on the Ministry's page read;    Viewers discretion strongly advised.   Leicester City coach, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will undergo surgery on an abductor injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for 12 weeks.   The Nigeria international sustained the injury during the Leicester's 4-2 win over Burnley last Sunday.    "That [surgery] will take probably place tomorrow morning," Rodgers told the media on Friday ahead of Sunday’s fixture with Manchester City.   "It’s just unfortunate, it’s come right off the bone, so he’s going to be up to 12 weeks we think. He’s a huge player for us.   "It’s something that showed his mentality against Burnley [because] he felt it.   Former Ajax coach, Frank de Boer has been appointed as the new Netherlands head coach, the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed on Wednesday night, September 23.   His appointment comes after Ronald Koeman left his Netherlands post last month to take over at Barcelona .   De Boer, who made 112 Netherlands appearances and played at two World Cups for his country, has signed a two-year deal.   De Boer, 50, led Ajax to four straight Eredivisie titles between 2011 and 2014 but his 85-days as coach of Inter was a failure. He then joined Crystal palace but stayed for 10 weeks after Palace lost their first four Premier League games of the season, failing to score a single goal in the process.   De Boer will be thrust quickly into his new job with a friendly against Mexico and two Nations League games early next month. The Netherlands host the Mexicans in Amsterdam on October 7 before travelling to Bosnia on October 11 and Italy on October 14.
