  Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has called on the people of the South East to prevent further disruptions and put an end to the activities of Simon Ekpa, a Finland-based Biafra agitator, who has been accused of causing violence, insecurity, and economic disruptions in the region. In a statement signed by its Secretary General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, on Sunday, Ohanaeze urged every Igbo person to play an active role in preventing further violence and disruptions in the region. “Simon Ekpa, hailing from Ebonyi State in Southeast Nigeria, has been implicated in orchestrating a series of disruptive activities, including the enforcement of a Sit-At-Home order that paralyzed the region for one week, from 3rd to 9th July, 2023. Multiple award-winning afrobeat star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has disclosed his intention to reward a staff of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, with $10,000 for returning $70,000 misplaced by a customer in Lagos. The young lady made headlines a few days ago due to her honesty, with many praising her for not eloping with the huge amount of money despite the current economic situation of the country. In his usual act of kindness, the Afrobeat sensation has requested the contact information of the lady in order to reward her for her honesty.  The Unavailable crooner who quoted a Twitter user who praised the lady for being an honest citizen, wrote, “Find her for me…I donate $10k.” Fans and lovers of the artist, however, flooded the post’s comments section with praises. This is coming a few days after the pop star, through his David Adeleke Foundation (DAF) donated N237Million to 424 orphanages in Nigeria.

  The recent death of a lady, Miss Chinyere Awuda, in a night club at Awka, Anambra State capital, has revealed a new profession. Miss Awuda, an Awka resident, and an indigene of Nnobi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, close neighbours said, was an easy going lady, who earned the trust of others through her respect for all. A journalist with a popular radio station in Anambra, Mr Ogemdi Ozoemena who claimed that Awuda used to be his neighbour, said he regularly saw her on their street, and had seen her just days before she was allegedly hacked to death by clubbers at Mila Club, which is situated inside Cosmila Hotel, a popular hospitality facility in Awka, which has its parent facility in Lagos. “ She always called me Oga Vicky, and she was such a respectful girl.   Nigerian artiste, Adekunle Kosoko popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has issued a stern warning to his fellow colleague, Olawale Olorofo also known as Brymo, to “get help” and stay away from his family, and wife, Simisola Kosoko, known as Simi. AG Baby as fondly called by his fans gave this warning in reaction to a recent confession by Brymo regarding his wife, Simi, who is also a singer. Taking to his verified Twitter page on Friday, AG Baby addressed the issue and expressed his displeasure at Brymo’s statement, warning him not to disrespect his wife and family.   A staff of Eko Hotel and Suites, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, has returned misplaced $70,000 to a customer in Lagos. In a remarkable display of honesty and integrity, she returned the money that was left behind by a guest. The incident occurred when the guest, who pleaded anonymous,  left behind a bag containing the substantial sum in one of the hotel’s suites.  Upon discovering the bag, the staff member immediately reported it to the hotel management. The hotel’s General Manager, in line with the establishment’s policy of integrity and transparency, promptly initiated the process of returning the money to its rightful owner. The guest was contacted and the money was returned in full, much to their relief and gratitude. A lady identified as Chinyere Awuda has allegedly been beaten to death inside Cosmila Hotel in Awka, Anambra State capital, where she went clubbing. The corpse of the deceased, who hailed from Nnobi, in the Idemili South Local Government Area of the state, was said to have been found the following morning near the hotel’s swimming pool where it was dumped. It was gathered that the incident happened on Saturday when some friends of a man celebrating his birthday were throwing money at him while he was dancing at the hotel.  The state government has since sealed off the hotel. In the star-studded photo, Rema alongside Chicago Bulls legend Jordan could be seen posing with several NBA players for the “JUMPMAN 23” advert.   Mmesoma Ejikeme, the candidate at the heart of a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results forgery debacle,  has written to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) asking for leniency. The 19-year-old on Wednesday read a letter of apology before the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on the manipulation in Abuja. Mmesoma had claimed a score of 362 as opposed to her official score of 249, according to JAMB. In one viral video, she brandished the result which she said had been downloaded from the official JAMB portal.   Trevboi, a former signee of Nigeria’s Afrobeat star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is wanted by the Lagos Command of the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly shooting and killing a young man at a nightclub in Lagos. It was gathered that the deceased, identified simply as Kenny, was shot dead on Sunday night at Bar 38 club located on Shiro Street in the Fadeyi area of Lagos. A friend of the deceased, known as Cloud Target on Twitter, said Trevboi was fully armed and dangerous.   Two secondary school students, who allegedly faked their own abduction to extort money (N100,000) from their mother have been nabbed by operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps. The two female teenagers, who were apprehended in Oka-Akoko, headquarters of Akoko South-West Local Council of the state, were in hiding for three days before they were apprehended. The students, ages 13 and 15, who are in JSS 3 and SSS 1 classes, confessed to the crime at the state headquarters of Amotekun Corps in Akure, the state capital on Monday. According to the minors, who are siblings, they planned to act in order to get back at their mother, whom they accused of maltreating them. While speaking on the development, the Commander of Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, said an investigation has begun towards unravelling the motive behind the action of the siblings. Unknown gunmen on Monday reportedly shot dead Eze James Nnamdi, the traditional ruler of Ezuhu Nguru Nweke community in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State. It was gathered that the gunmen, who invaded the monarch’s palace in a Sienna car around 3 pm on Monday, shot him dead, scaring residents with sporadic gunshots before escaping. A community leader, Nnaemeka Anyanwu, told newsmen that Nguru Nweke community in the Aboh Mbaise had been plunged into sorrow as a result of the development, adding that those who were at the monarch’s palace were lucky to flee alive.   A Bolt driver, based in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, simply identified as Tizza has narrated how a passenger beat him and attempted to kill him for demanding transport fare in Ibadan, Oyo State. Tizza who narrated his encounter with the rider in a series of tweets on Saturday night said he was physically assaulted by the rider in his house after he told him to pay an additional fare of his friend which was not added up by the Bolt app. Tizza said the rider ordered a ride from a spot opposite the University of Ibadan’s second gate to his place of residence at Oluyole Sharp Corner close to Kuola Area.   Igbo leaders have called on the Federal Government to begin the extradition of Mr. Simon Ekpa, who is residing in Finland, for allegedly causing killings, and destruction of properties, markets and government facilities in the South-East while enforcing a sit-at-home order. Interestingly, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which Nnamdi Kanu leads, has cancelled the sit-at-home since August 2021 and severally disassociated itself from the weekly Monday exercise. Nevertheless, people and government still associate IPOB with sit-at-home. There is no denying the fact that there is a huge crack in the leadership of the secessionist group. Recall that Kanu, the founder and leader of the IPOB, and his followers have openly declared a battle against Ekpa to wrest the group from him.
