  A young man named David Ntekim-Rex has died after he was shot on his way home from work and Nigerians are blaming his death on the state of the nation.   According to the cousin of the deceased, David, a product designer at Crevatal, was robbed and shot at Jibowu on Friday, Jan 15.     Hospitals allegedly refused to treat him because he had gunshot wounds.    He said the The police were also called while David was still alive but they allegedly held on to his body as evidence of robbery.   He died after losing so much blood.       Nigerians took to Twitter to mourn him with the hashtag #RIPDavid.  

  The 17-year-old girl, who burnt her boyfriend to death in Benue state, has narrated how the deceased allegedly made her abort three pregnancies and later started 'misbehaving'   Recall that Chidinma Ikechukwu Omah, a patent medicine dealer, died last monday, after he was set ablaze by Alex Esther in Wadata suburb of Makurdi, the state capital.      Speaking to Punch, Esther, who is currently cooling off her heels in police custody, revealed that she and Omah took a blood oath before she allowed him to disvirgin her, adding that he promised to never leave her.   Dr. Dre has reportedly been released from hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm. According to TMZ, the hip-hop mogul went home on Friday, January 15, after being kept at Cedars-Sinai’s intensive care unit for 11 days. The report also said Dr. Dre will be receiving round-the-clock care from medical professionals while continuing to recover at home. It was also gathered that doctors do not know how he suffered the suspected aneurysm in the first place after he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. When news of Dre’s aneurysm broke, he quickly updated fans about his condition on Instagram.  “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” he wrote. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon.”

Biden had announced the appointment of Badejo, a lawyer and an alumna of Berkeley Law College in the US, when he named additional 20 members of the office of the White House counsel. The office of White House counsel advises the president, the executive office of the president, and the White House staff on legal issues pertaining to the president and the White House. Funmi is the daughter of Prof Zachaeus Olorunnipa from Igbo-Bunu, Kabba-Bunu LGA of Kogi State. Funmi’s elder brother, Tolu Olorunnipa is currently the White House Correspondent for Washington Post.   The face of a suspected thief who raided a home in the Lekki area of Lagos state on January 3 was captured by a CCTV camera and the footage has now been shared online.   The owner of the home that was raided, Jibola Onanuga, who sent the video to LIB, wrote; '' A thief broke into my house in Ilasan Lekki on the 3rd of January and stole my car ..a light blue Toyota Highlander with registration number KRF353FC and so many other valuables.    I have reported the case to the local police station in the area, however we have not made a head way yet... the reason I brought this here.   Nigerians are reacting to the statement issued by the National Identity Management Commission NIMC that the National Identification Numbers NIN generated via Bank Verification Numbers BVN for customers will be regarded invalid if they do not physically go to any of the NIMC offices to complete their registration.    Some Nigerians used the code *346# to generate their NIN. A message that went viral in December indicated that persons who did their BVN registration in 2014 automatically had their NIN generated.   NIMC says these NINs remain invalid until they have been registered at NIMC offices.   Nigerians who have since generated their NIN via this method have vowed not to go for the physical registration.   A Nigerian lady has shared her experience with an immigration official who was allegedly processing passports without wearing face mask and gloves.    The lady who disclosed that she lost a friend to Coronavirus, alleged that her passport was seized after she started raising her voice.    @Temitope_Olagbegi added that when she demanded to see the highest authority, she was told to delete the photos and videos she took.    She wrote;    It was a heart breaking experience for me coming into the country to see the Nigerian Immigration not wearing masks.   A Nigerian man and his South Indian wife have been arrested in connection with a cyber fraud case, the Himachal Pradesh police said on Saturday, January 9.   The accused Nwachukwu alias Prince and his Manipuri wife, Thanmhring were arrested in Uttam Nagar in Delhi for duping a man of Rs 13 lakh.     Additional SP, Cyber crime Nervir Rathore said the duo were booked under FIR (5/21) at Kihar police station in Chamba district.   An FIR was lodged on January 4 after a complaint was received by a man regarding the cyber fraud, he said.    16 sim cards, 9 mobile sets, 6 bank passbooks and other incriminating documents were recovered from them.     "Following the international protocol the Ministry of External Affairs and Nigerian High Commission have been informed", he added.  The accused lured a resident of Chamba district by befriending him through a fake Facebook ID where he wrote that he was from London.     The accu...

  Five men have been arrested after a 14-year-old girl was gang-raped and stabbed to death in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.   It is alleged that on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at about 08:30, police received information of a body of a female lying in bushes between Gelvandale and Algoa Park. She sustained multiple stab wounds.     On Friday, January 8, 2021, she was identified as Patronicia (Mandy) Jordaan (14) from Kobus Road in Helenvale.
