Dubai’s Iconic Burj Al Arab Hotel Engulfed In Flames After Being Hit By Suicide Drone Shot By Iran

Dubai’s iconic sail-shaped hotel, the Burj Al Arab, was reportedly hit by a suspected suicide drone, injuring several people amid rising tensions across the Middle East. Thick plumes of black smoke were seen billowing from the luxury landmark on Saturday evening, with footage shared online showing flames at the base of the five-star hotel as emergency crews raced to the scene. Firefighters were pictured battling the blaze amid a heavy emergency service presence. Authorities later confirmed the flames had been brought under control. The strike came hours after another luxury hotel, Fairmont The Palm, was engulfed in flames in the Palm Jumeirah district. Four people were injured in that incident after what appeared to be an Iranian Shahed drone smashed into the building, although some reports suggested it may have been struck by falling missile debris. Nigerian content creator and influencer, Michelle Ereremena Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, has been confirmed to be alive, as her management has retracted an earlier statement announcing her death. According to her management in a new post, the influencer is okay. The post reads  “Michelle is okay now.” Recall that the controversy erupted amid a heated social media clash between King Mitchy and social media activist and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan over allegations surrounding her charitable works. King Mitchy had recently stated that she renovated a school within six days and challenged VeryDarkMan regarding his management of public donations since 2025. Tensions escalated further when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was funding King Mitchy’s charitable efforts. Iran Confirms It's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei Was Killed In US-Israel Strikes

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, the Iranian state media announced that the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed in coordinated U.S. and Israeli airstrikes targeting Tehran. A 40-day national mourning period has been announced for the 86-year-old cleric, who has led the Islamic Republic since 1989. The confirmation followed earlier claims by the U.S. and Israeli officials that Khamenei had been killed during the coordinated strikes which began early Saturday, February 28, 2026. Initial reports by Iran’s Tasnim and Mehr news agencies had suggested that the Supreme Leader remained “steadfast and firm in commanding the field.” However, state media later confirmed his death at his office in Tehran.
