IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Appears In Court


 
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu has appeared before the Federal High Court, Abuja on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
 
Kanu appeared in court for update on the results of the medical examination carried out on him by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).
 
Kanu had applied for the court to transfer him from the Department of State Services (DSS) custody to the National Hospital, Abuja for comprehensive medical attention because he is battling a life-threatening ailment.
 
The presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho, fixed today October 8 for a review of the report from the NMA on the medical status of Kanu.
 
The court had at the last hearing ordered the NMA to set up an independent panel to investigate the true state of health of Nnamdi Kanu.
 
Kanu has been in DSS custody since 2021.
