7 Important Things In Life That You Should Never Rush Into
They say, "Good things come to those that wait". In a society that thrives off of instant gratification, it is very easy to kick every little aspect of our lives into overdrive.
From little things like undercooked rice to believing that the person you’re with is ‘the one’ 3 months after dating not judging, if they’re the one they are the one.
There is however no harm in waiting for certain things in life. Good things come to those that wait.
According to some research, here are 7 important things you should never rush into.
1. Relationship/Marriage
You’ll not only be wasting your time but that other person’s time as well. It is okay to say no to someone that you don’t feel compatible with. No time for pity dating. Do yourself and that other person a favor and find someone that you really like.
2. A New Role At Work
Yes, it is a promotion and you are excited about it as you should be. The money may be right but there are other factors that come into play with a promotion.
This is not to say that you should say no to the promotion but it won’t hurt to think about whether it is the right direction for you and whether you will be able to handle everything that comes along with it.
3. Sex
Sex is very intimate and there’s no shame in waiting to have it for the virgins. Even though you are not a virgin, choosing to be celibate is not a crime. Don’t ever feel pressured to give into such pressure simply because other people are doing it and you want to be part of the crowd.
4. Publicizing Your Relationship
Whether you choose to do it or not is totally up to you but you don’t have to pressurize yourself into it especially if you and your partner are just getting to know each other.
5. A Promise
Never make promises that you cannot keep. No matter how small a commitment is, you are still letting someone down in the process; if not yourself. People may end up seeing you as unreliable and their respect for you may start to dwindle.
6. Making A Huge Financial Commitment
A car, a house a bank loan tempting to have but dangerous when you are unable to handle them all.
Stick to your lane and work with what you do have to get what you want.
7. Taking Time Off
Whether you are self-employed or working for someone else getting time off isn’t easy to come by. Plan your time off properly seeing that you’ll never get that time back again.
